An excellent command of the English language connects us with international business trends, global media and massive academic networks. This provides us with a competitive edge in the globalised economy. It has nothing to do with elitism.
Don't talk cock. Why lee hsien long can get 1st class medical and cancer cure..

Can lah! Using Singlish is perfectly fine for casual chatting and connecting with locals here. It adds that warm, familiar vibe. However, if you are asking a very technical question, looking for troubleshooting help, or speaking with people from all over the world, using standard English helps make sure everyone understands you clearly and can give you the best answers. For casual chitchat or mingling with fellow Singaporeans, feel free to just talk however you like.
Speaking Singlish hinders the learning of Standard English so I refuse to do so. The truth is that most S'poreans are unable to code switch, so Singlish is the only form of English that they know.

A combination of fear and insecurity hinders learning. Many Samsters avoid learning new skills because they fear making mistakes or feeling incompetent in front of others. As such, they protect their ego by devaluing the information being shared.
Your intention is laudable, but I also believe a greater harvest can be reaped when one is mindful of the pride of those one hopes to improve. People rarely respond well when instruction feels like humiliation. In such moments, resistance is often less about the value of the knowledge and more about the discomfort of feeling inadequate, exposed or left behind. Even truth, when delivered without patience or sensitivity, can harden the very hearts it seeks to change.

The biblical image of new wine and old wineskins captures this well. New wine cannot simply be poured into old wineskins, because the old skins will burst under the pressure. Likewise, new ideas or new disciplines cannot always be forced abruptly upon people whose minds and habits have long been fixed in another way. Before the new wine can be received, the vessel itself must first be made ready.

Thus, if 'the teacher' desires a greater harvest, he must cultivate receptivity before demanding change. Patience, tact, and humility are not compromises of truth; they are often the very conditions in which truth can be received.

After reading everything about u. Sad to say high education not equivalent to good character.

Surely an educated person such as your good self should be aware that sweeping judgments rely purely on broad assumptions, rather than specific facts. This makes them inherently prone to error. Broad generalisations bypass critical thinking, allowing confirmation bias and cognitive convenience to dictate your perceptions of me, which are not based on actual evidence.

I can only say wasted. U can be so much better if not for your character and personality.
