Alberta oil industry gets billions in tax breaks ...yet Alberta claims it is not asking for freebies.
Who pays for the emission from Alberta? There is a cost that was borne by Ontario. Ontario shut down their coal power stations while Albertan keeps them running and then let the tar sands development put out more emissions. That's why the dropout Kenny doesn't want any pricing on emission because it made that province looked bad.
Alberta does NOT share with ROC. Ignorant fools - resources is under provincial jurisdiction. Any gains from the exploitation of resources go to the provincial coffers.
When Alberta allowed tar sands development run unfettered ...pushing up the Canadian dollar, Quebec and Ontario bore the brunt. Manufacturing suffered as the exports were no longer as competitive. Alberta and Sasketchewan chastised Ontario for daring to raise that. Now that the oil industry is in a downturn, Alberta blames everyone.
Alberta is the freeloader ...it wants a pipeline to facilitate exports, yet it is unwilling to pay for it. It has the oil but it also has the curse of being landlocked. So, negotiate with BC and the American states ...why bother the federal government? Coz Alberta wants it all and don't want to pay a cent. It want to ship oil to the east and expect all the provinces to bear the risks of oil spills while it reaps all the gains. Why not be prepared to pay the provinces for the risk? No, it will never. That's the selfish attitude of Alberta.
Trudea shutting down the oil industry? What a bowl of crock talk. That's the Albertan dumbass talk. Trudeau spending billions to buy an unfinished pipeline to facilitate the completion is not good enough. Albertan just wants everything on a silver platter.
If Alberta doesn't like the rulings of the courts, it should just get out of the federation. Sort things out yourself instead of blaming everybody but themselves.
Oil price falls, it is the Liberal government's fault. It is never Alberta's fault. Get out of Canada, Albertans.
