Why can't they convert the golf courses into parks for public to enjoy??

So much talk about Paya Lebar move to Changi or the Keppel Port to Tuas. Actually since the gahment practically cut down all our nature reserves and greenery so that the public have less and less nature to enjoy themselves. Why can't the gahment just convert some of the golf courses into nature parks and recreation areas for the public to enjoy??

If you want to play golf, please go to our neighbour JB where they have many excellent golf courses there...but bring along your bullet proof vest just in case!!

It is better than a park for people to go there to get a blow job and sitting there wonder why they are poor or jobless.

Look at east coast park; there are tents everywhere. I hate going there; and have since stop going totally.

Golf courses are there for the elites to enjoy and network. Entire airbase is nothing. Can always be replaced or moved to another location.

Main focus will be on $$$$$. So, yes, high-end housing, shopping centres, commercial buildings will take priority over parks and public housing. The latter two may be there just to provide a 'balance' but won't occupy majority of the land.

A park cost lots of money to build, admission is usually free. Golf courses are build by private companies that bid for the land, and usage is subjected to membership and green fees.

Which makes more economic sense?
