Since last Saturday water level in my house had dropped 10cm as of this morning. Checked yesterday my factory in Patumthani Klong Luang Klong 4 water dropped half meter so far but still has about 80cm to go. As water is being pushed into the sea obviously upstream level is lowering while downstream is getting from 0cm to some heigh of course la so Bangkok is downstream. I believe in a months time all dry la although government said 11days. As mentioned before I was surprised water was stopped at the Lat Phrao Ratchada intersection saving the rest of the entertainment strip. But by doing his Lat Phrao kenna flooded. This also saves the Victory Monument area and south of it is Pratunam, Pleonchit, MBK etc etc.

The hide tide is from 9 Nov - 13 Nov (tomorrow). Should see improvement after 13 Nov. :)

can't remember what year _ about 10 years ago _ Bangkok was under water for 4 to 5 months

The flood water is not clearing from metropolitan Bangkok residential areas because it's still the same thing and same policy. Block downtown central from flooding, i.e. the water is stuck around metropolitan Bangkok waiting for evaporation or DIY clearing. I don't blame Yingluck for that. I might have decided the same myself if I had a say. It's a difficult situation for those living in Bangkok, not just touring Bangkok. Another wave of heavy rain and the evaporation and DIY would be all in vain.
