They will either be sued, vituperated, cast aspersions on, rebuked, character assassinated or victimised. This election will be no exception but we don't know right now who will be the target this time. Lists of some former victims:-

I disagree with Chee and James Gomez. Those 2 were self inflicted. There's a difference between being character assassinated by others and ruining your own reputation. Most likely candidate to be character assassinated is GMS. Although to be fair some of the damage he did on his own

Just hope the opposition party members be a bit more humble.Thread carefully at what you say.Say slow nevermind.If get too agitated, stop to cool down for a while.Dun fall into PAP trap.
