Who says that our MRT is packed?

I seriously wonder if U know what U are talking about. We are not even in the top 50 densest city in the world. U can promote us to top 3? WOW!!!!!(Top 50 densest cities in the world)

I wonder if you're using the same super power that allows U to differentiate between Singaporean Chinese, Singaporean Malay, Singaporean Indian from a Chinaman, an Indon/Malaysian Mat or India Indian by Skin color

in terms of density by persons per sq foot sg is the densest nation on the planet. sg cannot be compared to mega cities like calcutta, mexico city, tokyo, shanghai, etc.

Problem is they can actually run more trains. They want to maximize profits. My staff tells me mornig peak the trains frequencies are faster than evening peak. Off peak you need to wait up to 6 mins for a train, so again the train is packed.

Singapore is the 3rd Densest country in the world. However as a city it is not in the top 10. And why are the other cities so special that we cannot compare?

This is not their MRT it is their intercity train.
Please get your facts right.

macau is not considered a country anymore. it's now part of china.

monaco is not considered a country to me; it's more like a principality with a sovereign monarch except that her national defence (and security) is the responsibility of france - not much of self protection there.

cities are cities. sg is not just a city, but a city-state with new towns sprawling into the suburbs.

There's a difference between your personal opinions and facts. Whether U like it or not, there is a proper definition for such things. I guess U are assuming that the definition only takes into account the city proper and not including suburbs. However even if you take that into account, as i pointed out, we're still not in the top 30. As for Macau not being a country, fair enough, but try telling Monaco it's not a sovereign nation

I'm assuming U are talking about the Japanese train video. Not really turn, trains to the suburbs are also like this.

well, sg is top two if monaco is the densest sovereign city-state. does that make you happy?

Not really, I already know this a long time ago. It still doesn't change the fact about SG not being the top 10 densest cities in the world :rolleyes::rolleyes:

yeah, but who cares about top 10 densest cities? we're talking about top 10 densest subway system in summer clothes. luckily no winter and no winter clothes to add to mass and density.

If U haven't notice, my initial post on the densest city was directed at Uncle Yap's proclamation that SG is the top3 densest city in the world

i think he wikied and meant country. he wears glasses and he seldom cleans them.

Whatever it is we must compare apple to apple.
Can we compare our MRT to Malayan Railway from Singapore to Malaysia?

The trains that are going to the suburbs in the Japan are similar to the ones traveling within the city proper. The Japanese take these trains to work and school every day. They are not trains that pple take once a month/year to travel out of the city for vacation. It's something they use everyday. How is that not comparing apples to apples? It's like saying we cannot compare the NE Line to the North South Line coz they are totally different

Bloody Char lAtan, up to your usual despicable tricks again. You have a grandfather who migrated to Japan as well? What is the percentage of foreigners with their uncivilised behaviour on those trains in Japan? :oIo:

I don't have a grandfather in Japan however my company does have several offices in Japan and I've been visiting. I can't comment on the "percentage of foreigners with their uncivilized behavior" as unlike the Great Uncle Yap, I am unable to differentiate a Japanese/PRC/Taiwanese/Mongolian/Hongkie by skin color :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Oh, you wanna compare japan.. Japan has human rights.. SInkieland have or not? I think comparing North Korea is more suitable.

Another ball-licking PAP loser.

Tonychat, you talk through your arse hole again?

Would anyone with a sound mind compare Human Rights with packed Mass Transit Trains?

You kanna screw by your Thai PAD masters too much that you lost your senses, chai mai?

try take jurong east MRT on peak hour in the morning and evening. we are no diff from them honestly

Forgot to add, even if it's by Densest Cities proper, we still outside top 30
