Who Are Your "Channel Turners"?

Probably sacked for her displays of gross objectivity.

Based on watching her reading news and presenting the election programmes, I didn't see her being
especially biased. Perhaps u saw a particular programme where she was or know something she said,
but I didn't observe it.

Btw, can anyone confirm the question I have been asking for some time?
Is Sharon Tong related to Edwin?

That's why I said "gross objectivity". I was being sarcastic towards the 154th media who are intolerant of objective views.

ok noted, misread your post.

Haven't seen Melissa Hyak in a while.
Anyone knows whether she is stil at CNA?

Melissa Hyak left CNA at the beginning of this year to join ACR Capital Holdings (largely insurance business). She holds the title of Senior Vice President, Head of Communications. While in CNA, she was constantly held in the highest regard by viewers not just for her professionalism but her pleasant demeanour. For this reason, she was asked to helm important shows such as 360, Talking Point, General Elections and Money Matters.

Melissa gave the reason for leaving CNA as wanting to try something fresh in the private sector after such a long period in broadcasting. But rumors had it differently. Apparently it was something she said while hosting a pre-election debate with a panel comprising Tharman, Josephine Teo, Vincent Wijeysingha, Gerald Giam and Lina Chiam. At the end of the show, each one was given a minute to summarise their points. Vincent did it very well and came across as particularly sure and confident of his points and to that, Melissa kept nodding her head in agreement and remarked "excellent, excellent" the moment Vincent finished. She did not make any comment for the rest including PAP's Tharman and Jospehine who started first. This angered Debra Soon her boss who as everyone here knows is a first class PAP bitch. Since then, Melissa was given a hard time, promptly her to leave. But she's doing well at her new place though, hardly surprising given her extra-ordinary skills and experience.
