everyday in my part time F+B job, i see lots of white and India indian foreigners. Im not talking about the peeps at CFO and CEO level. these are guys and gals between the ages of 25 - 35, and they are all working here. the jobs are not specialized. ie most of them work in banks, engineering, internet related companies - white collar jobs

and i wonder why these jobs are not taken by singaporean and/or malaysians.

is it because locals are not qualified?
is it coz there are SOOOOOOO many jobs to fill, that companies cannot find enough locals so have to look abroad?

i ask this in all seriousness because when i see the behavior of some of these foreigners, it makes my blood boil.
and i have been told by some of them that singapore needs foreigners like them, if not the country will not be as vibrant as it is now.

is this true?
 
Interestingly you mention the whites and the India Indians. Both are notorious for bringing friends, classmates and drinking buddies as colleagues and subordinates. As an example, the white boyfriend asked his colleague a white to hire his live girlfriend also a white into the latter's department. The company was a financial institution and the role was in risk management. At that time she was working as shift coordinator with a logistics company and she had a degree in geography. She took on the role of a VP.

The Number 2 man of a similar institution has his French wife working in a Removals company specialising in international expat relocation. He called the boss and asked if he would consider hiring is wife. The boss had no choice to avoid losing the contract.

Philip Yeo when was hiring his A*expat scientists would concede to finding job for the spouses. Most of the them work in NUS, NUH and around the complex. They are even fuzzy, the job must near so they go and return from work together.

We locals are the dumb ones.

true. the increase crime rates, jumping down, killings have make Sinkapore vibrant.

I tell you why. Singaporeans want to earn more so they became real estate agents and brokers instead of earning a fix income every month. The others who stay in those fix income job worked like a dog with low pay, want no more of such bullshits in their lives, so they thought of ways to make their lives better by emigrating to enjoy a better quality of living.

sg needs more fun. and only foreigners or foreign trained party goers can deliver the juice. py was totally shocked into that mindset when i changed shades multiple times like elton john in a meeting with him.
 
so its true, plenty standard white collar jobs here, and not enough singaporeans/malaysians to fill them.

because logically it would cost a company MORE to hire a foreign white collar worker than hire a local of the same or better caliber

in any case from personal experience, from what i myself have seen of their behavior, the majority of these white collar foreigners are bloody trash

its getting to the point where i feel like looking for another part time job so i don't have to deal with them
 
I think the reason why these Indians are in demand is because locals have a tendency to job hop or just quite even without another job. For the IT sector, it's dirty work so locals don't want to do. As for whites, some are good n some are really trash, just as some singkies are trash too. The best workers are PRCs

i agree that for all nationalities, there are the good and the bad.. however from what i see every nite, the bad far outnumber the good
 
Sinkies are no angels themselves, They love office politics, senior employees refuse to impart their knowledge to fellow colleagues, complainers and whiners, have this ideology that their toilet paper equals to intelligence and superiority and finally they discriminate against their own fellow countrymen(Race base discrimination) .

The PRCs I worked with are all very good. I spoke to my frens and they told me the same thing.
They are much better than locals, more knowledgeable, open minded and humble. I see young locals very narrow minded, think they are very smart, rude sometimes, weak, unreliable. Quit at a drop of the hat. Honestly our guys and gals are just too spoilt from young. Compalining complaining, always waste time blaming govt even when govt is doing a great job.

I think the PRCs who are blue collared are quite industrious whilst those semi-white collar ones and those in the slightly higher paid jobs generally have a poor attitude. IMHO i think it depends on whether they are urbanised PRCs because i noticed that the ones from the cities are generally the ones with a poor attitude....

The PRCs I worked with are all from major cities.
They are first class folks.

You have obviously never worked outside of SG. People of all nationalities do that. The only difference is that when they are not in their home country, they tend to help one another and would certainly discriminate against the locals if given the opportunity, like what the foreigners are doing in SG.
