<!-- story content : start --> Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew met former Chinese president Jiang Zemin last Thursday at the latter's hometown in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province.


The private meeting was at the invitation of Mr Jiang, who hosted Mr Lee to dinner before accompanying him on a tour of the scenic Shouxi Lake.

The two leaders, who have forged a close friendship over the years, last met four years ago.


Mr Jiang, 83, retired in 2003 after serving two consecutive five-year terms as China's president.

Immediately after his death, the funeral service immediately started and by the 7th day, it was over and the body of Ronald Reagan was laid to rest.


Let's look at GKS's situation:



Goh Keng Swee died on Fri Morning on the 14th. The body of the late Dr Goh will lie in state at the Parliament from May 20-22. The state funeral service will be held on May 23, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office.



In total, it's spanning 10 days vs Ronald Regan's 7 days.
And you wonder why?


Only one reason, Lau CB is coming back to SG only on 22nd.

Me think GKS is being made as a rehersal for the real event which is not likely to be far from now. Even NDP need to have a stand-in reviewing officer for the rehersal. Unfortunately, GKS's body is made to go through the entire process and locations to test the plan for the eventual proocess.

The eventual event will be as follows :
- 10 days for the ultimate body to be shown to all the peasants and possibly the world
- All the speeches made by the MIW will be fine-tune
- All tears will be be more free-flowing than the rehersal
- All systems will be tested, including the road to/from each locations
- Parliament will go through the same process to be seen when the old man come back from his self-glorifying trip
- blah blah blah
