Should I get wired, wireless? What is the difference betweem wired and usb? Doesn't both have wires? The normal wire (non usb), is the mic able to function with just that earphone type of plug jack? Do I need to plug in that jack and also usb in order to ise microphone function?

Any sensible advice is appreciated.

My office gives all of us a $100 ITbudget for pirchase of either headset, keyboard or mouse.

logitech is good enough. wired for best audio quality and lowest latency. usb port is ok. with wireless devices, if you spend too much time with it attached to your ear and head areas you’ll develop tumors. moreover, charging is a daily and sometimes hourly issue.

Yes. Anything wireless needs to to be charged. Battery is built-in and can last many hours on one charge. It can cut out outside noise to an extent.
This is the model I'm using now. Super cheap and good. Price has fallen a lot since.

the old style audio jack will develop contact issues when it’s constantly inserted and removed over time. moreover it will remind you of intimate insertion that you desiire but can’t readily have.

Price is reasonable. Thanks for the recommendation. I will look in the net for the wired similar type. Don't like to waste my electricity to charge office usage things.

It's just my idiosyncrasy.

You can use it with wire if you want you and it comes with one. Trust me, you will enjoy the convenience of wireless headphones.
