Appreciate if someone is able to recommend a shop(s) with a range of brands with choices of various combo kits and accessories.

Dremel is the most renowned and has become the generic name in hand-held rotary tools for hobbyists and craftsmen, but I am not brand particular so long as I get a reasonable deal from a shop that gives good price, service and is customer oriented, will pruchase from there.

Thanksh.

not sure if they have the rotary tools you wanted bt i saw quite a few powertools ondisplay in a hardware shop along macpherson road...a few shops away from boon tong kee...

What about Sungei road... there are a lot of hardware stores there... If you don't mind, sometimes, you can even find 2nd hand ones... I will start there if it is me...

Whenever I pass a tool shop or diy shop I try to drop in for a look see. Most of them will have kit or two for sale but I do not see a range of accessories. I was hoping to look for a representative of a brand that will stock accessories.

BTW, one of the best powertool shop is Homely in Ubi Crescent and their staff are knowledgeable (one even speaks English) and they have everything to do everything. I may eventually buy from them after I am satisfied I've seen as many as I possibly can. Sg is small and compact enuff to do this.

Thanks.

Cheers!

I have not been to Sungei Rd in ages, but I guess I'll swing by.

It is okay to consider used/2nd hand stuff as money saved is money earned. But some things, especially power tools (including replacement parts like blades) it is wiser not to scrounge. I've learnt to use the right tool for the job, not only because of quality finish, but mainly because of safety. This is not only restricted to power tools, even a simple tool like a hammer or mallet is dangerous if it is off-centre.

Thanks.

Cheers!

Try Mustafa :D:D

Yes I will. Their hardware section is on the top floor but last time there I was in a hurry and didn't get an opportunity to browse. Better go there before that place gets destroyed by fire!

Cheers!

If you are ever in Batam, go take a look at Ace hardware store in Nagoya Hill Mall. They have an extensive range of tools.
