Where your taxpayers money goes: Not to welfare, to buy missiles

Defense is far more important than welfare.

Welfare means giving free money to lazy, useless members of society.

Defense is about security of the whole country.

why other tiny countries like San Marino , Liechtenstein etc does not need to spend so much on
defence ah ?

why other countries want to attack sillypoor ah ?
what do they gain after taking over this red dot ?
does it make more sense to attack Brunei and take over it's oil fields ?

they paid big money to buy advance weapons which will never be used and become
obsolete. just telling potential enemy that the country supplying these weapons would come
to help if war breaks out.
without usa ,australia , britain help , it is useless even sillypoor has the bestest weapons.

lol.. that's a great idea! Maybe we should spend our money marketing that other countries are a better target than us!

Maybe the Media minister should better spend his time running an ad campaign targeted towards all potential terrorist and neighbouring countries, to concentrate on planning to attack/conquer Brunei, Malaysia, etc. Just like SIA ads in other countries, run "Attack Brunei! There's oil in them thar jungles!"

We should consider spending monies buying up small islands of Indonesia.

many countries purchase US military equipment and the US would promise to aid these countries in the case of wars. i believe that's how it works.

I feel defence is important as a deterrence but I think we are spending too much. On a per capita basis, we have one of the world's highest

We don't have much choice. The region more volatile than you think and the US wants us as a strategic partner is shaping the balance of power in the region.

What is there to defend when half the country is overrun by foreign trash ?

National defense is just a fucking excuse for GLCs to scratch each others' back.

Those countries are sitting ducks should another expansionist dictator appear in the European scene.

no no no. dun spend on welfare, look at the horrible welfare abuse in the west. they did not start out as what you see today, but once you gave the people welfare, they will want more and more, and you cannot stop, or your political party goes bye bye. until those in welfare have more money than people working. LKY is right about his particular issue.

Singapore's F-15 fighter jets are operationally ready: RSAF

Singapore's most modern fighter jets are now combat ready, strengthening the Republic's air defence shield.
The Republic of Singapore Air Force's (RSAF) 24 F-15 SG fighter jets went operational on Wednesday.

Singapore received its first F-15 aircraft in 2009. The F-15 jet is considered one of the top fighter planes in the world. It has racked up a combat record of 104 victories and zero losses in 30 years of air battles worldwide.

Men and machines were put through a series of tests and training exercises, among other things, to certify that the F-15s' weapons systems and flight performance fully meet the RSAF's requirements. Attaining "full operational capability" means they can be deployed in any combat missions anywhere around the world.

The F-15s are a critical part of the RSAF's arsenal to pre-empt air threats and gun down hostile targets. Other weapons include the G550 early warning surveillance jets, the SPYDER air defence system, all of which are already combat-ready. The ASTER-30 surface-to-air missile system will soon be added to the RSAF suite of sensors and shooters.

Good point. PAP should develop a few nuclear bombs and have them tested off the coast of New Zealand. That country is full of lazy, useless people anyway.

Many businessmen , druglords , erm , Generals parked their ill-gotten gains in Singapore , who wants to invade this fishing village ?
NS is merely an excuse to fatten certain individual's pockets
:oIo:

Something the ignorant liberals (or worse the losers who actually need the welfare) don't understand.

Why you worry about the West? Their problems will be solved by Asian countries.
