I have seen a mother dump her 5 years old daughter to her brother once she divorce the father and married a taxi-driver.

Not once, she visited the daughter until 3 years later, when she divorced the taxi-driver and ended up with a pilot.

Even then, she visited for a a few months and not seen the daughter since. It has been 6 years.
