When Sick, Simi Makan You Think Of?

Always something soupy and spicy, like bat kut teh or mee siam.

When was a child, my mother usually bought fish ball kway teow soup for me when I was ill.

my mom would buy mee tai mak noodles that were shaped like teardrops. she said i wouldn't choke on longer noodles. i was so touched i had tears dropping on my teardrops. :o

Steamed fish with plain rice and boiled vegetables.

Lots of non-tropical fruits like apples, oranges, common pears. Avoid tropical fruits.

Lots of honey - room temperature stirred into water and drunk.

Post-recovery:

Abalone.

It took me a minute or more to figure out what you meant.
Yes, my mother also bought me "mee tai mak", something like macaroni, but made with rice flour.
I have not had that for decades.

when sick, don't take anything chicken. Chicken is considered energy booster. Only take when you are recovering stage.

chicken boost the virus/ germs and make you sick longer.

Pork OK with porridge recommended. For taste add some kiam chai (salted veggies) into the porridge. Cut or julienne ginger into porridge for taste and also good for release stomach hong.

i am confused with your statement.

chicken = energy booster = boost virus??

energy = virus ????

your pork porridge need to add VEGGIES for taste so the pork got no taste i assume, and why the hell you put pork in the first place if it does not contribute to any taste.

We will have that when you return.

Unfortunately, it looks like my spouse will not give permission for me to take our children to visit my mother.
Very sad!

On Dec 31, I missed the "special airfare" via Air Canada, through Tokyo, then ANA to SG for about Cdn$7,200 total.
Last week, I missed the "reduced fare" via EVA, through Taipei, Cdn $8,650 total.
These are one stop, short layovers, total travel time between 20 to 22 hours.

I was praying that my mother and I will be able to rest in peace, if only I could take all our children to visit her, because she saw 3 of them in 2004, but not Peter who was born in 2006.

I am really disappointed, not even in the mood to exercise at the gym, but dragged myself there.

Why is your spouse objecting?

Why is your spouse objecting?

The Canadian law requires the spouse to provide written consent when a parent apply for a child's passport.
At present, only our second child has a valid passport, because in April 2013, as a student at St. Michael's Choir School, he (they) went on a singing tour to Rome, Vatican City, etc. to sing for the Pope.
Later this afternoon, he will be returning from this year's tour to Boston.

I sent you the details in a private message.

[missed, and added: this year's ]
