what's the diff between a pathological liar vs a compulsive liar?

i ask my housemate this question. she says pathological liars lies without reason because he or she is born like that, whereas a compulsive liar lies because he or she wants to hide the truth. is this correct?

No one is born to lie. Each are born innocent.
The thing is, EACH, REGARDLESS if psychologically diagnosed as pathological or compulsive liars which are only mere labels - from a King to a pauper, WILL lie, such as a 5 yr old kid caught raiding the fridge for chocolates with chocolate smudges on his/her face & will try to deny it to save oneself from a mere parental spanking, to the King whom realize his empire will disintegrate if caught lying to his people/citizens & his position jeapordized - TO SAVE THEIR OWN SKINS.
Thus, EACH Human MUST NEVER, EVER take anything at face value or whatever a stranger or mere friend may utter from his/her mouth. such as Uni kids whom deemed themselves intelligent but worldly naive, to support foolish causes, as words cost nothing, BUT to listen & then FACT CHECK from not just one source, but numerous sources, & observed carefully with scrutiny of behaviour over time if needed, to make an informed decision, to believe & trust, or not to.
Failure to do so will only lead to one being USED & MANIPULATED by others of more intelligence but immoral & armed with PHDs or those street corner pathetic creatures seeking sympathy but with natural animal cunning,...
