What to do with an old Cashcard?

Was doing some spring cleaning and found an old Cashcard that was only used with my IU units for paying ERP charges.
Back then you had to go to a bank to get one of these cards. Mine is pretty old & has the name Keppel Tat Lee Bank listed as one of the local banks that issued these cards

Anyone know where I should go to get a refund on the balance left on the card?

You can try the ATM, usual top up process but reverse into your bank account!

As it is a workday I gave NETs a call & found out that if the card is older than 10 years, one cannot get a refund:(


If the card is less than 10 years you can go to either UOB or OUB bank to fill out a refund slip.
Do not go to DBS because you can't do it there.

It will take about 2 weeks to process.

This is so typical of Spore. If you are looking for a "REFUND" they will impose all kinds of limitations & make you wait. That's why I am not a fan of scams like cashcard. The only reason I got a card was because I needed one for the IU units.
