i knew this family here in australia, father is a pastor back in Singapore pasturing a church in the west zone, preached to the congregation not to chase after the materialism in the world, squash all career and educational aspirations among the congregation members, citing that all these efforts are "chasing after the wind" and displease god.

however, he secretly arranged for his whole family to have Australian PRs, so now all his children are studying here in Australia free and get subsidized university school fees too!

Is this hypocrisy or what? On one hand, he tell everyone not to pursue materialism, but on the other hand, send his children to get foreign PRs and education in western countries. How will you reconcile with this???

Never thought legal resident status and seeking better education for children is considered materialism.

I thought all these are basic criterias and mandatory to any good parents?

..using church money to fund their overseas lifestyle and expense... is that moral and ethical too?

same as CHC's sun ho,... using church funds to pay for the pastor's wife entourage, music producers, commercial opportunities and rents... is that moral?
