Ramseth claims that he's O Levels and regular police constable only. I find that unbelieveable from reading his postings over the past half a year. He's certainly more intelligent and knowledgeable than many of us here, yours truly included. I think he's pulling legs for amusement, with implied insult to those with papers but without brains.

One thing I can't figure is, why's he supporting a madman like GMS?

Ah Ram's uncle pretty influential and he sure knows what SS/triad is all about. Not so for GMS. He is just blur like sotong but act very intellectual. Without opening his big mouth, GMS with white hair, spects and a little tummy, actually looks like one.

My interaction with Ramseth over the past 5-6 months leads to these observation:
a he is a knowledgeable chap on most topics;
b once awhile, he throws smoke bombs;
c he can be helpful and kind if he wants to;
d he is very proud of himself - knowledge and looks;
e he is very witty, skin also very thick - just what is needed to be a politician;
f he is more intelligent than GMS !!!

Agree with all your points except point f. This is based on 5-6 years (perhaps more) of interaction with Ramseth and GMS in forums.

The problem with GMS is not lack of intelligence. He's as intelligent as anyone else, perhaps even more so than most. His possible problem is ego and stubborness, which sometimes may result in wrong judgement.

The thing that Ramseth has over him (and many others) is not intelligence, it's street-smarts/savvy.

But rather than you and I commenting, perhaps those forummers who know them personally can comment. :o

When I say PAP has successfully cultivated a nation of snobs, I'm referring to people who are not well educated yet dare look down of some opposition candidates. The reason ? Because they compare them with PAP candidates, and they used the qualifications of PAP candidates to look down on opposition candidates. This is what I would call "transferred snobbery". I think Ivebert is one those.

Very doubtful that he only has O levels, he was previously an international relationship manager.
Even if he doesn't have qualifications, his posts and style of writing clearly indicate that he is well educated and intelligent. Lack of paper qualifications doesn't mean not well educated.

He and GMS are probably friends, because of their time in WP and possibly their similar thoughts on how SG is being governed. Again can ask those forummers here who know them. :o
