What exactly do "Unionists" do in Singapore?

Up to the 1980's we have true blue unionists, who fought, tooth ( hard tooth) & nails for the rights of the workers. From that era, they were all 'bought over' or 'shanghaied' and some died silently for a cause.

From them on, they are just...........!:p
