Have you had the opportunity recently to ask this question? Sounds rather rude, doesn't it? Or has someone recently asked you this question?
A more polite way to ask would be "What can I do for you?", although some people may mean it sarcastically or condescendingly, lile some secretaries for example. Some people even started asking "What can I do you for?" in a sarcastic manner, not knowing that we could answer with a grin and reply
"$50". :)

A more interesting aspect to the question "What do you want?" could be viewed seriuosly. What do you really want? Like I said in another thread, I would like to have happiness, which I defined as having peace of mind.

So guys in this forum, what do you want?

Singaporean where got say what do U want. We only say "What U want"

i want every forummer here to receive salvation from Jesus Christ!
Ok thanks.
Does that mean we all get salvation? Or only those that follow meekly without question? :)
