To design a website, i suggest checking out designs of competitors and other sites with attractive design. Unless you have very good taste yourself. Also, have to understand what your customers want. Very hard to read the mind of what's in the mind of the ones who engage you. Harder may be those who already know what they want.

Usually when I google for a service, most websites are too fanciful that it becomes difficult to find the required info.

hmm, you really think very far... sadly i don't think it's practical... These days, people dun buy websites, they'll rather hire someone to popularise their websites. It will be more costly, but they can retain the branding...
