Culture Clash? Or sexy versus idiotic?

It is call modesty, silly yellow man. Singapore outdoors so hot, so all construction workers can drop to their undies is it?

you play the game for looks or for scoring

Of course, for scoring. With bikini the lines of the body are well defined, neh neh are not encumbered by the hijab or other parts of the clothing, especially when jumping and rolling on the sand. Makes it much easily for a quick turnaround and ready for action again when a shot got her rolling on the sand and she laid wasted on the sand. For the other party, clothing and hijab will definitely hinder swift movements, left, right, centre, top or bottom. Indeed, shedding the clothing is the single most effective way to boost performance, especially when it comes to the thrust, push, and grind of beach volleyball, under the hot sun and amidst the pricky elements all around. For the audience, the bikini wearing participants will also clearly raise a higher measure of enjoyment for them, for they can straightaway see if anyone is measuring up in terms of tonal muscles, flexibility, creativity in receiving shots and thrusting the balls back across the nettings. It is a wonderful experience for one and all....bikini is definitely 'the in' thing in ensuring superior scoring for all parties, everyone of whom would be striving towards providing climax entertainment....worldwide!!! Why not!!!!

We don't kid ourselves .....what balls, do you think you will be looking at?.....they should have a separate game, in an enclosed stadium attend by woman only & all wearing hijab....for a special category of Halal games....

But the general world, would like to be like this....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crz2K_P4rsU

Then for men how? Men must wear speedos for easier movement is it?

Of course lah, they can wear speedos if they want to, provided the beach volleyball fashion dictate is speedos for men.

For the ladies, the fashion mongols decided that bikini is the 'in thing' and so it is at the present....of course, as the world is so huge and varied, one cannot expect every nation and tribe to subscribe to the wearing of bikinis or speedos for international meets. They can continue to wear their hijab and other added, padded clothing for all that they want....but...so far, did any nation's nationals win an Olympic gold wearing such gear? I don't know. But if yes, I would also like to see how they manifest themselves on the winning podium....if you have pictures, please show.

doesnt matta wat dey wear ... dey shud juz stop playing sins playing bitch volleybol is not stated in their holely book ...

With regards to the recent furore over the exposure of sexualized orientation games at NUS, I would like to point out that it is not only happening at NUS. While other universities and polytechnics aren’t as extreme yet, their orientation camps can easily go that way.

I have attached some photos of an orientation camp at NTU that happened a couple of years ago. The photos show a muscular guy wearing nothing but skimpy swimming briefs sitting down to a girl wearing a sports bra that shows her cleavage.

Even if there is a swimming component, why are there girls wearing bikinis and sports bras on the school campus? Can’t they wear a modest swimsuit instead? Why is there so much focus on who is hot and who is not? Orientation is supposed to be about building bonds of friendship, not getting into a boy-girl relationship and ogling each other’s body.

You may call us prudes but let me ask this question. Are the orientation camp organizers even aware that they are driving away conservative students from coming to orientation camps? Why is the school orientation organizer discriminating against conservatives? Furthermore, girls who do not have a hot body are discouraged from attending because they are self-conscious and do not feel comfortable being half-naked around their male peers.

It is also very insensitive because Muslim and Christian parents may not want their daughters to be skimpily dressed and engaging in promiscuous behaviour at an orientation camp. It is outrageous to have put so much effort into educating your daughter to grow into a woman of good character, only to end up with her studying at a ‘good’ school whose culture promotes slutty behaviour.

The undertone of the orientation camps at the universities is very sexual. The orientation camps are almost dating events. There’s a lot of focus on sexual tension. People are told to write secret pal letters to someone of the opposite gender and there are activities that involve a guy and girl passing an object by mouth or taking bites out of the same food. There are half-naked guys carrying girls. Honestly, I won’t be surprised if there are even shops selling condoms on campus!

I hope the Ministry of Education will work with the universities to abolish such promiscuous games at school orientation camps. There should be code of conduct and rules against immodest attire at orientation camps. Let the focus be on building friendships and accepting each other, regardless of whether one is sexy or not. Besides a good university education, it is also important to cultivate the right moral values in our young men and women, who are the future of Singapore.

That bikini is not naked enough

For the purpose of beach volleyball, that bikini is more than enough. Don't need to be more naked.

If more naked, it will seriously affect the competitive psychology of the participant due to issues of modesty and need to use hands to cover privates whilst waiting for balls to come thrusting over the net. How to play volleyball like that???

Seriously, if chun chun has a more superior bikini design for beach volleyball that will not only show off more nakedness while at the same time maintain the modesties of wearers, she is on way to create a multi million $$$$ business. Not only will beach volleyball use it, maybe all international meets will adopt it as a fashion standard.....HUAT ahhhh, HUAT ahhhh!!! no end to $$$ rolling in, looorrrr....

All bros on this forum would dearly like to have a sneak preview of such bikini design and offer their first hand views....how????:)

To show or not to show, that is the question!!!!

Agreed in majority...except, conservatives are not only counted amongst Christian and Muslim parents.....the majority of Chinese and Indian parents would also be counted upon to object to the sexualised nature of the Singapore campus orientation camps.

Anecdotal evidence showed that this issue of sexualised orientation camps had a more than ten year history...yet despite many complains over the years, nothing was done by the campus authorities, but to allow it to happen again and again and to get more & more outrageous. There seem to be some sort of tacit approval of the powers that be with such practices. Maybe this is the result of misguided, westernised liberal minded campus administrators turning their blind eyes to the problem. Or is this because these sexualised acts are lead by sheltered white horses in their first attempts to express their frustrated sexual desires, at the same time asserting their place as natural aristocrats? I really don't know the answer.

Forum bros in the know, perhaps should shed some enlightenment for other bros who may not know - why such immoral practices are allowed to be perpetrated year on year until the present when it is the social media, thankfully, which managed to expose such mal practices. Let's see if something will really be done to resolve this problem or, once again be swept under the carpet, like so many other shenanigans in Singapore.

When I saw the egyptians clad in all those clothes I was thinking about how they were handicapping themselves. It must be damn hot with all those clothes as well as restricting movement. If you want to get involved with sports at the olympic level, you've got to be willing to dress the part or be at a disadvantage.

Dear chun chun....you have revealed your age and the fact that you never had teenage children...before.

Of course if parents know of such malpractices, they will object, straightaway. However, the damage is always done...after the acts of malpractice were perpetrated.

Teenage and young adult children don't just run straight to their parents over such matters....it takes time for them to tell...further such acts are many, varied and year to year, chut pattern more than pang phui. No way parents will know before hand this year some white horse will decide to ask girls to lick the chocolate off the necks of guys or ask guys to do push ups over the bodies of bikinied girls. Acts and patterns always change.

Now that there is a relatively better understanding of such practices, indeed, concerned parents will now take up the issue over such overtly sexualised acts - actually, these borderline closer to the 'outrage of modesty' in the penal code.

Once again, whether something gets done and students can really get to enjoy proper tertiary orientation is up to the powers to be - they may still decide to sweep this issue under the carpet once again.....or until some agitated poor girl attempt or succeed in suicide because of the way she has had been treated in the orientation camps.... we never know, strawberry kids are fragile nowadays.

In any case, it is not my intention to hijack the specific topic of this thread, that is, bikini vs hijab in beach volleyball. I shall end my discourse on sexualised campus orientation on this post.

Is this picture better? Why must show crotch and not wear shorts? Pussies distract opponents?
