Dear Roy
No matter what, be rest assured even with aggravated damages, no penny will leave your pocket. You will be covered by the people of Singapore. We got your back.
You stood up for Singaporeans and took on a bully.
Many are aware that you have erred and acknowledge that you owned up. You also apologised.
You were asked to name a figure and for a man of your background and the fact that your parents are hawkers, $5,000 is a lot of money. $5,000 is also a lot of money for many Singapore who are unlikely to hold on to their jobs in the near future because of the path this Prime Minister and the Government took. Instead of a professional reply declining the offer as insufficient you were ridiculed. It seems that someone forgot that they asked you to make an offer in the first place. No reserve was set. Either that or someone deliberately used the process of law to ridicule you. A complaint with the Law Society needs to be raised. Even without a complaint, the Law Society should account for this conduct by its member.
The meek and the weak amongst us thank you for what you are doing. No one is prepared to step into your shoes as they just too big. We will pay for the big shoes that you will continue to wear to hold your broad shoulders that carries this country' hope and future.
As for the Prime Minister quoting Europe on freedom of speech and it's accompanying responsibility is absolutely ridiculous as well as hilarious. Principles and values cannot be cherry picked to suit one's own agenda. Europe has set the standards and it led the way for civilisation to advance. This man is an absolute disgrace.
I can assure you that there will be tears in your eyes by the time we all leave Hong Lim Park.
God bless
Scroobal
