I believe you 100%. The HDB blocks a short distance away from my house, got more Void Deck Funeral than I have ever seen in 30 years of observing.
Sometimes got 3 funerals taking place simultaneously in the same Void Deck. More busy than Bangkok Night Market!!!!!

just recently my block downstairs got 3 funeral wake services going on side-by-side butt-to-butt.
1 taoist type, 1 christian type, n 1 buddhist type - christian type sandwiched in between.
the taoist type with the usual sai kong liam keng n chiang tong chiang.
the christian type very quiet one only when they sang "Amazing Grace".
the buddhist type with the usual buddhist charm.
best part is: all 3 processions moved out at the same time on the same Sunday.
