Nobody wanted to bid for the YOG. Moscow was persuaded in kind or in terms whatever to act as counter bidder to Singapore as they're also no interested. They probably only agreed to the charade only if they're guaranteed not to win the rights to host. They won tonnes of real Olympic medals without such childplay bullshit.
