CECA doctor should have come here or fly SQ will have red carpet for him!
The CECA tenants at my condo act quite aloof towards local residents, but are noticeably warmer and more courteous towards Caucasians.A country with an entrenched caste system complaining about discrimination.![]()
3,000 years of the caste system have institutionalized class and caste discrimination in India. 190 years of British rule have indoctrinated in them the 'memsahib' complex which makes them suck up to Caucasians. The CECA tenants at my condo act quite aloof towards local residents, but are noticeably warmer and more courteous towards Caucasians.
That is the S'porean mentality: they despise those poorer than them, but hate those richer than them.3,000 years of the caste system have institutionalized class and caste discrimination in India. 190 years of British rule have indoctrinated in them the 'memsahib' complex which makes them suck up to Caucasians. That said, there's a local Chinese saying that describes Indians to a T: 见高就拜,见低就踩 (step on those below you, brown-nose those above you)
Yeah…it is like that since Day 1That is the S'porean mentality: they despise those poorer than them, but hate those richer than them.
Coolie genes mahThat is the S'porean mentality: they despise those poorer than them, but hate those richer than them.
I recall a boss who had many subordinates who sucked up to him, but on the day he was forced to step down by the Board, only 3 of his staff treated him to a farewell dinner. Ironically, those 3 were straightforward and hardworking subordinates who did not focus on currying favour with him while he was in power.Coolie genes mah Cannot blame de woh
Different. The mentality you described is one in which you detest (usually the result of a sense of injustice - you were lucky to have rich parents, I wasn't) those richer than you. That is the S'porean mentality: they despise those poorer than them, but hate those richer than them.

That former boss learned too late who was truly 'loyal' to him.Not bad still got 3![]()

The Indian doesn't detest those above him - he licks their asses in the hope of getting favours or climbing up the corporate ladder. That's how the term 'curry favour' came about. It's a peculiarly Indian trait, this obsequiousness, which is not commonly seen in other cultures. The trampling on those beneath you comes from the caste system.
An S'porean Indian classmate once remarked that CECAs are backstabbers who wouldn't hesitate to bite the hand that feeds them.Different.The mentality you described is one in which you detest (usually the result of a sense of injustice - you were lucky to have rich parents, I wasn't) those richer than you. Another local Indian remarked to me that in highly competitive settings like the Indian tech industry, workers may encounter toxic colleagues who use underhanded tactics for career advancement; this reinforces the stereotype about Indians even in India itself.A S'porean Indian classmate once remarked that CECAs are backstabbers who wouldn't hesitate to bite the hand that feeds them.
That gave rise to the famous aphorism: if you see an Indian and a snake and you have only two bullets in your gun, shoot the Indian first, and shoot him again to make sure he's dead.An S'porean Indian classmate once remarked that CECAs are backstabbers who wouldn't hesitate to bite the hand that feeds them.
It does address a general truth about Indians even among Indians themselves. That gave rise to the famous aphorism: if you see an Indian and a snake and you have only two bullets in your gun, shoot the Indian first, and shoot him again to make sure he's dead.
