If Russia appears poised for a decisive victory over Ukraine, Belarus may seek to capitalize on the situation by lending its support to deliver the final blow and garner some credit for the territory. Similarly, some NATO nations have kept their warship fleets on standby in the Mediterranean Sea, ostensibly to support a potential US and Israeli advantage over Iran in exchange for political credit.
