Have you seen Black TPs before? Not the usual white TPs.

Bhai,

TP implemented this black uniform, known as Stealth TP sometime in 2016.

Adapted from ST :

The familiar whites of a Traffic Police (TP) motorcycle in your rearview mirror could now be black.

The force recently introduced black motorcycles to its fleet, as part of its "enhanced enforcement operations against errant motorists", a police spokesman said.

Due to operational concerns, the police were unable to provide more details regarding the new bikes. Meanwhile, photos of the TP's new motorcycle - described by netizens as stealthy with its matte black finish - have been making their rounds online last week.

A photograph of one of the machines was featured on Roads.sg, an online road safety community, and has been shared over 1,600 times with more than 100 comments from Facebook users.

It is believed that the black motorcycles will be used for specific operations, including catching motorists who use their mobile devices while driving.

A total of 3,011 motorists - or at least eight a day - were caught last year for this, TP figures show.

I wonder if @GoldenDragon remember how tp can only be white becauseits dangerous other wise. Hence no guns too
Black or white bikes/uniform I am not sure. But was told decades ago that for safety reason, no firearms for them. Not sure if safety refers to them riding their bikes or being solo most of the time or even both.
Never bothered to ask coz never keen on a posting to TP.

Bhai,

In the TP website, they still stated that TP uniform is white.

Since the early 20th century, white has become the colour of Traffic Police. The highly visible colour was chosen for its uniform to distinguish Police Officers engaging in road traffic control.

BLACK :

In the fourth episode of ‘Faces of SPF’, Staff Sergeant Fariz from the Traffic Police Special Operations Team shares an in-depth look into the elite team of patrol officers.
