Jin Yong's stories are long and convoluted. They need to be absorbed slowly to enjoy and understand the entire plot. Whilst the TV series can get a bit draggy at times, the movie versions never do justice within 2 hours.

I however quite enjoyed the 2021天龍八部 TV series as the pace was quite good throughout.
