Truth be told, this photo proves the work of Aajonus Vonderplanitz, who says lots of raw meat and raw fat (both of which are notably missing in a vegetarian diet) are fundamental necessities for health.
Cooked meats and cooked fats are worse than raw meats and raw fats, but possibly (depending on how the cooking is carried out, healthy steaming and boiling, versus unhealthy deep frying) healthier than a vegetarian diet lacking in protein and fats.
Supplements (advocated by Gillian Mckeith) are a double edged sword. Hilarion and Vonderplanitz generally discourage supplements (which like medical drugs, are a product of Big Pharma), but the 3 supplements I've updated on my webpages, I've found the pros outweighs the cons :
- Vitamin D (perhaps the single most important supplement that everyone should take)
- CoEnzyme Q10 (preferably in the reduced ubiquinol form, rather than the oxidized ubiqunone form)
- Magnesium (which may help some individuals reduce the frequency and intensity of headaches, depending on the type of headaches).
