Useful & Useless Foreigners

Honestly, with the pro-foreigner (those in group Cs) policies, this current govt is become history sooner than later. If the govt continues, i am sure they will lose at least another grc.
!&!!

My guess is that they are now counting on the rate of new citizens being faster and greater than the rate of born and bred Singaporeans who realise that they have been shortchanged.

How about this foreigner? Useful?

From her slutty pose and ugly face, its hard for her to get any customers if she wants to become a full time pros at Orchard Tower or Geylang.. I doubt Sporean men will go for her.. Only drunk horny fucked up Ah Nehs and those sex deprived Banglas will want her service..

What irks me most is that the policy makers must have mis-read that the Chinese from the PRC are most easy and convenient to be integrated into our society.

Hey we're all Chinese right?

They are dead wrong. We are different. Period.

Yeah, "for them" being the key words.

Of course it's easy, when they and their family members are not the ones doing the "integrating".

Ass loong and all his Ministars should walk the talk about integration and let 2 Ah Neh families stay in their homes for a week... Every week get a different Ah Neh families and invite them over.. Do it till the end of the year..

The faster they come in to replace Singaporeans the better for the MIWs, so they can rule Singapore in perpetuity. Singaporeans are a pitiful lot with 60.1% still wanting to vote the PAP. Hope we don't regret this for the sake of our children.

Agree, most probably that's how they gonna ensure the ratio of votes. The cycle will repeat itself.:o

Hi, I think there is another group that we have neglected. Group D, the Dependents or simply Foreign Spouses.

Here is my story.

I am a lucky man. While many men are complaining about their spouses, I am lucky to marry a very sweet and nice Vietnamese girl. To marry a girl who earns her own income, never asking anything from me, saves up for own future, cook well, knows and likes to do housework, I consider myself very lucky. I knew my wife when she was studying in Singapore. After her graduation, we got married and she has been working in the same company since graduation fir the past 3 years. We love children and had always wanted to have our own. But until today, she still has not got her PR. Without a PR, we could not get a new flat through BTO. This means that we could only buy through the resale market and we are at the mercy of greedy sellers seeking high COV. And it is disheartening to hear of many PRs applying for the BTO, reselling the unit with a hefty profit and then leaving Singapore forever. Others simply keep the flat, rent it out and goes back to their county. And here we are, a couple who really wanted our own house, have our own child and we are left with nothing over our head.
Everyday, I visit companies for sales call. I have lost count of the number of companies that has at least 70% foreigners/PRs. Each time I asked them about their future plans on staying in Singapore, some simply smile and many were brazen enough to tell me they are here just for the money. When the time is ripe, they will simply pack their bags, and of course their fat bank account back to their native country.
I am born Singaporean and I love my country. I did my National Service and every year when the Mindef comes calling, I put down my work for that 2 weeks of ICT. When the country needs me in time of war, I will defend it. When the country is short of babies, I wanted to contribute. When the country is full of foreigners who only wanted to stay here for a few years, earn enough and then scoot back to their own country, I have a wife who sees her long term future here and makes this country her home. She has even learnt to embrace our culture and languages by picking up simple conversational mandarin. We are not greedy, we just want stability and our own home. Yet no one hear about our difficulties.

I have been suggesting this for years.....................

That's exactly what the MIWs want.
But they didn't count on 2 things: the number of born and bred Singaporeans who are frustrated at this influx of useless foreigners and the possibility that some of these foreigners may not vote for them because of problems in their own lives.

Without breaking the law, we should become stumbling blocks for all these useless foreigners. Just make things difficult for them whenever we can, be uncooperative and unfriendly, if possible, make them unhappy.
Just one example, I've mentioned about ah tiong con men posing as fortune tellers. No idea whether they are overstayers or on work permits, ep or even prs or citizens, but everytime one of these useless bums approach me, I will remind them that what they are doing is against the law and not approved by the government.

Is this your personal story? If so, thanks for that.

Don't have a problem with foreign spouses. If Singaporean men or women marry foreign spouses and the latter become Singaporeans, they should be welcome.

Have another example of a useful foreigner who is a both a foreign talent and foreign spouse.
Former SG number 1 women's table tennis player Jing Junhong.
She represented SG with honour for many years. Married a Singaporean man who was also a former player and coach. They have one or two kids and she's now a coach, I think. Looks like the family is happy and she appears set to stay in SG forever. This type of foreigner is most certainly useful and definitely considered Singaporean.

Not so sure about some of her compatriots, especially those who marry foreign spouses. We will have to wait and see.
