Useful & Useless Foreigners

We should be able to differentiate between useful and useless foreigners.
Perhaps most cases are not clear cut, but in these 3 hypothetical examples, it's pretty obvious which is the useless one.

A is the MD of a Japanese manufacturing company based in SG. The Japan HQ has made it clear that if they cannot have one of their own heading the local company, they will exit from the country.
A is therefore based in SG with his wife who does social work and shops and Takashimaya and 2 children who go to the international school.

B is the Bangladesh construction worker. Works hard, sends money to his family back home, doesn't commit crime or cause trouble in public.

C is an IT "specialist" from India. Whenever someone not at senior mgt level asks for IT help, he does a google search or asks the person to do one.
Has a wife who doesn't work and 3 children who behave like monsters in public. After 2 years, the couple bring their elderly parents over.
(that means 9 people supported by one IT "specialist" who does google searches, oh, of course, the country's infrastructure also supports them)

The government would like us to believe that the vast majority of foreigners are like A & B.
But we know, don't we, that there are in fact LOTS of those like C around.

A is a very realistic reflection of Japan culture - they insist on their people being at the top - unlike Singapore companies who are more than happy to get a FT to head the company. Capability wise, no much better. So, to a certain extent - A is useless. As far as I know, they will also bring in young managers from Japan depriving of local staff the opportunity to be trained and groomed in the position.

Seriously, I have no qualms to B, bcos no Sinkie wants to work as construction worker. And also, his WP does not allow him to stay further after it expires and he cannot marry and settle down here.

C - yes, these are leeches who think they are fucking important and the whole universe rotate around them. They are here becos either: they can smoke alot or they are cheaper.

A is useful because if he is not appointed as the MD, the company exits from SG. Whether he is in fact personally capable or not is not really the point.
As long as he and his family don't commit crime or cause trouble in public, it's a gain for SG.

We all know C is the most useless, unfortunately he is also the most likely to be offered and to accept citizenship.

Yeah, "for them" being the key words.

To help "them' understand the problem better, perhaps the only way is to let them have direct contact with these foreigners who "contribute' so much to our economy.
Let the policymakers "integrate" with the foreigners, so to speak.
But please remember, wherever they meet to "integrate", bring the 3 monster children along. The cultural exchange should be most enlightening.

The people working in the town councils, the grassroots people and the ordinary people all know about the type C lot, but they don't dare to say a word, lest their masters are offended.
It is only the elite policymakers who because of their lifestyle, barely have a chance to mingle with these "wonderful" foreigers, at least not when they are on their "best" behaviour anyway.

I'm not sure if LHL knows any prc national personally, other than Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao.
