after the south carolina primary, things are not looking great for the grinch. foremost is lack of funds to sustain the kind of brutal attack ads that romney and pac supporters are saturating airwaves and cable tv with. his moon colony idea aside, voters in florida prefer a middle of the roader capitalist who can help with the economy than a darling of white blond chicks and palin supporters who at moments of brilliance can counter the msm with fire and brimstone.
voters are realizing good debaters don't necessarily fix the economy, and it's more pragmatic to pick someone with a successful track record on how capitalism works. me thinks ohio is a swing state and will still be courted.
Newt Gingrich is in deep shit!
Out of the $10m donation pledged by LVS chairman Adelson Sheldon, he has so far received only $5m and I don't think Sheldon would support him further after
tomorrow's result in Florida which Romney is expected to win by double digits.
Also he is being sued:
Newt Gingrich Sued for Using ‘Rocky III’ Theme Song
31st Jan 2012
Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich faces a lawsuit over his use of “Eye of the Tiger,” the theme song to the movie “Rocky III,” court documents show.
The claim for copyright infringement, lodged on Monday by Rude Music in an Illinois federal court, relates to Gingrich's use of the song at his political rallies.
Rude Music is owned by Frank Sullivan, who co-wrote the Grammy-award winning song. In addition to Gingrich, the complaint names his campaign, Newt 2012,
and the American Conservative Union, an advocacy organization, as defendants.
The complaint states that the violation it alleges is intentional since Gingrich is “sophisticated and knowledgeable” concerning copyright laws. Rude Music has
requested the court to order an end to unauthorized use of the song by the defendants, and to award Rude Music damages.
A Gingrich campaign spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment.
The case is Rude Music Inc. v. Newt 2012 et al, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, no. 1:12-cv-00640.
