I dont see why and how you can find pride in a country harboring an economic fugitive. If he can be ungrateful to a country that provide the opportunity or made him who and what he is today, what else he cant do next??
I can see their point here. The US Democratic Senators have a point. This Brazilian family was under threat in Brazil, gain US residency, then Citizenship, Harvard, etc then use American Business Environment to create FB. now want to wash hands of USA passport. He thought the US exit tax would be the end and now he has his PR man working overtime spinning lies. What an idiot. Move to Singapore because of no capital gains tax, thinking no 15% capital gains tax for him on 3-4Billion dollar shares. Now 30% tax coming. Ha Ha Ha. Thinking to save so much money and no filing annual 1040 and 2555 and TD 90s instead now he cant even visit his family in USA! Banned! King power to US lah.

Now that he is in Singapore he will extract what he can here and then leave. Singapore better watch out.
Nothing to gain from renouncing US passport, US taxes lower than Europe, Australia, Canada, etc.
Considering the USD3b to USD4b he has made with Facebook listing, USD67m capital gain tax is small change.
