TP car in yellow box: No obstruction, so no offence, says Police
Police says although a Traffic Police car was seen stopping inside a yellow box at a junction, it was not causing any obstruction to other vehicles, so there was no offence committed.
This reply came after STOMPer Havok wondered if the driver had committed an offence since it parked inside the yellow box.
The Police says in its reply:
"Police have investigated the matter.
"We had earlier sought STOMP's assistance to ask the STOMPer to contact us, but he has not done so to date.
"Under the Road Traffic Rules, although part of the vehicle was in the yellow box, it was not causing obstruction to any other vehicle proceeding to or along that road junction and, as such, no offence was committed."
