TP car in yellow box: No obstruction, so no offence, says Police

Police says although a Traffic Police car was seen stopping inside a yellow box at a junction, it was not causing any obstruction to other vehicles, so there was no offence committed.

This reply came after STOMPer Havok wondered if the driver had committed an offence since it parked inside the yellow box.

The Police says in its reply:

"Police have investigated the matter.

"We had earlier sought STOMP's assistance to ask the STOMPer to contact us, but he has not done so to date.

"Under the Road Traffic Rules, although part of the vehicle was in the yellow box, it was not causing obstruction to any other vehicle proceeding to or along that road junction and, as such, no offence was committed."

as usual, they've all ways n means to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing, in doing so, its basically telling ppl that the system enforces double standards. i've recently witnessed 2 TP mobile bikes parked in a car parking lot, while the 2 bruddas in uniform stroll to fetch their teh-C.

a pity i was busy on the phone with my client, or i'd probably be sharing the marvelous pictures online too.

These jokers are they sure? Next time, someone stop inside a yellow box and if there is no obstruction, better don't issue ticket ok?

Make use of this reply from TP to your advantage when anyone of you gets a ticket for being in the yellow box. Say you have conducted your own investigations and found that you have not caused any obstruction.
