There're no cameras on TP cars. They use radar guns to determine speeding offenses and their eyes to determine dangerous driving. That's what patrolling is for. If eight hours of shift duty spent on driving cameras around and another eight hours spent on viewing the footages, TP needs to double up manpower. There're only fixed traffic light cameras and highway speeding cameras at locations considered strategic and dangerous. The cameras are dormant except when red light on or triggered by speed sensor. They tried out a scheme to allow SBS buses to install cameras near the headlights to catch private cars abusing bus lanes during peak hours some years ago. I'm not sure if the scheme has been continued.
