4D and Toto different games.

For 4D, the same number can be repeat for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th position.
Toto, the same number will not be repeated.

I was walking around in JB & saw a sign indicating that the top prize for 4D was RM$40+ million. Why is the the prize in Malaysia higher? Isn't Malaysia a 3rd world country?

First of all, they let the prize pool roll until there is a winner, otherwise the proze pool will only get bigger, if for one whole year nobody strikes, then the prize pool will hit more than 100million riggit! Singapore pools has a limit of how many times roll if there are no winner & the pool will go back to the Singapore pools!

Once the 1st drum ( toto ) number is extracted ; removed it from the


remaining drum and the same is repeated .


7 sets of number carried and managed by 7 different keys and person.


the whole draw process will be longer but NO one can try to fix it ...

there is an urban legend that singapore has a limit is because the prize money cannot roll over beyond 8 million if not it will be possible to rig.....ie syndicates with outlay of 8 million can buy up all combinations and get a winner.

Any mathematicians here? But this does not discount the risk of sharing with another winner. Also this legend is busted when you factor in the 10million prize money (which always has multiple winners)....

Also the final rollover amounts have always been won (most was 6 million by single ticket i think)......

Didn't know that , but not surprised. It's another example of the "establishment" winning. I bet some people in Spore Pools gets a big bonus when no one wins.

The Malaysian model is what most countries are following. It builds alot of excitement & attracts more players.

I personally knew someone who stuck toto 2.9 million.......and other who won 400K in the old days.....in case you wondering....these guys were not elite connected....

4D i knew of a dozen guys who stuck high 6 digits....highest amount about 900K.

There is a chap whom I was introduced to at a KTV who is known as 'thee kong kia". He struck first three prizes many many times and when he strikes, you are looking at 7 digits. Best of all, almost inexplicable, is that he usually strikes when buying very very big. He doesn't buy that big every draw.
It's as if he knows it's coming. This guy is no elite or elite-connected. He is 100% an ah beng. A millionaire beng.

The numbers can be rigged.

There were incidents of a 4D number fixed before and connected people were sent to buy up from all the private operators.
Number will come up top 3 prize.....purpose was to break the 'bins' and bring the private operators to the cleaners.

The last time was almost a decade back and the number came out 3rd prize (cannot remember actual number)

You may be right. If I recall correctly, it happened before (many many years ago) but the system is now ok. 2 years ago, same rumour. Predictions from some chaps were accurate for several draws.
