Andrew Loh (TOC) writes on facebook:

The LKY-bashing by some quarters, disguised as "empathy" for his loss, makes me cringe. There is integrity in letting a grieving man grieve - no matter what he may have done in the past. Are we any better than him whom we criticise if we act just as he would or had? Where's the humanity we speak of?

Let me add:

The worst way to try and right the wrongs done by someone is to try and do so at a time when he is grieving the loss of his wife of 63 years.

It is not only inhumane to do this to a fellow human being who's suffering, it also puts... those who are aggrieved (such as the ISA detainees) in a bad light - even if inadvertently.

And to disguise such calls - to right the wrongs - as "empathy" for his loss is just pathetic. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if it was an outright criticism of LKY.

I am sorry if any of you feel I am barking up the wrong tree. But if you wanna know what I am referring to, it is this:

And also some other postings elsewhere...

"I bear you no ill-will."- Chee Soon Juan

If he really bear him no ill-will, then why the need to raise all the incidents in his condolence letter.

That shows how hypocrite he is

The old bastard took a swipe at Lim Chin Siong during his eulogy. He does't deserve any sympathy from anyone least of all his enemies. You have never had to face his wrath so don't feel that you have the right to tell others how to treat a devilish man such as LKY. CSJ was not being hypocritical, it is obvious that he was being sarcastic.

It's simple.

Dr Chee bears no ill-will means he has already forgiven him. Dr raised all the incidents with the hope that LKY would likewise 'forgive' his 'prisoners'.

If your loved ones are still being incarcerated or persecuted by LKY, would you take this opportunity to plead to LKY for mercy ?

I found it damn distasteful for that old bastard to mention that Lim Chin Siong who had passed away 15 yrs ago, was judged by his wife as someone who could not be trusted.

Arsehole has got short memory; when Chin Siong passed away and he realised that the outpouring of sympathy was very overwhelming, he praised that Chin Siong was the most
honourable man he ever know.

Yes, bring it on. Chee's letters will spread far and wide. To Tampines (MS Goh, eat your heart out). To Hougang (Eric Low, MP for Hougang at last?), Potong Pasir (Sitoh all the way), West Coast, Hong Kah (KJ, is Chee your friend or not?).

For the first time in my life, I say this. Thank you, Dr. Chee.

In a real world, Andrew Loh would have written otherwsie, if one of his family is a prisoner mentioned in Dr Chee's letter. We can safely challenge Andrew whether he agrees with this view and not appreciate Dr Chee's letter? Probably the prisoner's families were grateful for such timely letter. Nobody knows because people, like Andrew, shifted his focus to be in line with msm instead of the outcasted.

It is in the real world, that bastards like Anfrew Loh are the type that can flip over from one side to the other, like the pages on a dirty magazine, depending on where and how the wind blows.

The above statement is definitely self explainatory.

How has Andrew Loh flipped flopped?

As I said, CSJ is still very wounded. MM, despite the loss of his beloved wife, remains the Conqueror. The opposite is true if CSJ and MM are on equal grounds or, worse still, if CSJ was the victor and MM the vanquished, just as in the case of LHL taking a swipe at the late JBJ with his condolence letter.

How can a letter seeking the reader to be humane is itself inhumane ? I don't understand. I'm sure PAP will make a meat out of this letter; or have they started already ?
