Three men charged over assault on cabby
Three men have been charged with causing grievous hurt to a taxi driver at a taxi stand in Holland Avenue.

Three men have been charged with causing grievous hurt to a taxi driver at a taxi stand in Holland Avenue.
Mohamad Nasar Mohamed Sali, Joseph Doray Saverymuthu, both 39, and Sidney Fernando, 35, allegedly punched and kicked Mr Esman Siran, 60, in his face and broke his nose.
The alleged attack took place at about 11.40pm on Dec 16 last year. The trio were arrested last Tuesday.
Doray has also been charged with stealing a lorry in Penjuru Lane and driving without insurance and a valid licence between July 3 and 6 last year.
He was offered bail of $30,000 while the other two were granted bail of $15,000 each.
If convicted of causing grievous hurt, they could be jailed for up to 10 years and liable to a fine or to caning.
