I can tell you based on my dealings with Russians, they are a mix of commie thinking ( old generation) and pseudo rich ( new generation 暴发户）and while they are intelligent they do not know to deal with the civilised democratic world outside.

I 1000% agree Democracy is a superior system of rule. But it's only for an enlightened society. Unfortunately majority of human beings are dumbfucks who need a parental authority to save them from themselves.
