印度選美比賽「印度小姐2019」的結果上周六（15日）晚在孟買出爐，勝出者將於本年12月代表印度前往泰國參加「世界小姐2019」比賽。不過，由於30名參選人均是膚色白皙和擁有黑色長髮，引來外界批評主辦方的選美標準單一，並不能代表國內種族多元化的美。
由1952年至2018年，勝出的印度小姐大多數均是皮膚白皙，今年勝出的20歲大學生拉奧（Suman Rao）和另外29位參賽者也不例外，甚至連五官也頗為相似。膚色在印度是個社會話題，近日有女性發起「Dark is Beautiful」（黑色是美）等運動，希望扭轉社會針對白皙皮膚的傳統審美觀念。
反膚色主義者貝蒂（Muna Beatty）批評印度小姐對膚色的取態，影響到深膚色女士的自尊和心理健康，更批評整個選美過程是「複製並貼上」。

The results of the Indian beauty contest "Miss India 2019" were released in Mumbai on Saturday (15th).
