China made a simplified and 1-Time-Use-Only RPG rocket cheap and simple, for every foot soldier to be issued and can use without much training. This is important because today many enemies are wearing bullet-proof body Armour and can not be killed easily using rifles and standard ball rounds.

Only need to aim and fire, and then throw away the empty tube, no reloading need to be learned. It is also quieter so do not require Ear-Plugs when firing, it is only as loud as 9mm handgun. The standard anti-tank currently used in PLA needs Ear-Plugs or else firer may get hearing damaged.

Because it is simple and cheap, the PLA simply issue lots of these to each platoon as new standard. It become like a rifle for each man.

由于为一次性使用武器，因此在发射筒上尽量用料简化、轻量化，其强度的质量只需要能够完成一次攻击任务即可。图为08式一次性单兵多用途攻坚火箭发射瞬间，筒壁由于比较薄能够明显看到火箭弹尾焰将其烧至通红发亮。发射筒两端是用密封盖密封，射击时不必打开前后密封盖，因此发射时会在在发射筒内形成局部高温。

• 专用的反装甲火箭一般用于打坦克,重量较大,不大适合单兵长时间携行,打完扔了就跑.打中则大赚一笔,打不中对手也不大可能再给你第二次装填的机会.因此大多采用一次性的发射筒.RPG则是可重复装填发射的,重量较轻,能快速装填再发射,有些军队把它当成掷弹筒,其通用性较好,能有效打击近距离的敌方步兵,工事和轻型装甲目标.但无法有效击毁重装甲.

• RPG的原理和无坐力炮类似，是可以多次使用的。
  至于一次性发射火箭筒，一枚火箭报销一辆装甲车的买卖简直就是一本万利，而且每个战士配备一具一次性火箭筒所实现的火力密度大大超过了数量相对“稀少”的专职射手，作为正规部队装备，使用时的费效比还是很好的。
  当然，游击队我还是推荐使用RPG系列。

the equivalent for this throw away China RPG would be the Armbrust, not the Matador. I always love how the chinese propaganda demonstrated the fantastic ability of this RPG by firing it at some cloth target. LOL.

It’s not often that a military advertises a weapon on what it doesn’t do, but at the Africa Aerospace and Defence exposition in Pretoria, South Africa, that’s exactly what Chinese arms manufacturer Poly Technologies did. The “Shoulder-Launched Rocket with Low Collateral Damage” is a weapon designed to give troops all the utility of a wall-piercing explosion, with a lot less of the accidental casualty downside.

As advertised, the weapon creates openings for troops to walk through in doors, walls, bunkers, and other sturdy positions, but the blast wave from the rocket is limited to 23 feet, limiting the number of people who are badly hurt when the weapon is fired. It’s an improvement on the DZJ08 design, which is a similar shoulder-mounted rocket launcher, made for fighting in cities, that lacks the collateral-damage reduction. In addition to punching holes in buildings, the weapon is reportedly useful against light vehicles.

This rocket launcher is still explicitly a lethal weapon, but marketing it as low-collateral damage shows an understanding of urban combat, as well as concern for the innocents that may find themselves in city battlefields. In a similar vein, the U.S. Office of Naval Research is developing non-lethal and less-lethal weapons for Marines, after the experience of urban combat in Fallujah taught them that sometimes, a less-deadly weapon is better.

Any target that rifle can not handle, they will pull up this to whack, e.g. vehicle, bunker, sandbag pile, guard-post with hardened protection. armored vehicle, light tank etc. Especially, like I said, today's enemies wears body armor and may not be put down by rifle some times. So you need to use some larger Bang-Bangs!

Heavy tanks can be damaged and disabled in some ways by this, e.g. the externally mounted electro-optical sights, sensors, active-armor, cameras, infrared, smoke-flare launchers, antennas etc, can be shot away easily by this light RPG. The tank crews inside can become quite blinded after being shot, may lost communication too. Heavy Tank may throw-track, lost engine if shot at rear, and immobilized.
