Thanks for inviting me to the BBQ, Jeanette Chong Aruldoss. Had a great time interacting with residents of Mandarin Gardens and from nearby areas. I had met some of them during GE2011 when the then-management committee had allowed us to do door-to-door visits. Certainly great to catch up again.
One resident showed me her Hammer pendant which she had recently gotten from a 7th month dinner auction. Our elected MPs regularly attend such dinners and will contribute items for the organisers to auction for their fund raising.
Several today volunteered to help in our 2015 campaign. Thanks for the enthusiastic support!

AVERAGE JOE: Despite his humble beginnings, new Workers’ Party candidate, Mr Dylan Ng Foo Eng wants to build a more vibrant and dynamic Singapore.
POKER FACED: Workers’ Party new candidate Redzwan Hafidz Abdul Razak joined the party with the blessing of his wife, who is a civil servant. “I joined the party when she was my fiancée, she could have left me if she wanted to!”

My love of soccer took me to the centre stage in my life. In 1984 I'm very delighted and thrilled to represent my country at the JAL Youth Soccer Tournament in Kagoshima, Japan. One of the most memorable experiences I shall never forget.

I am not sure when contesting in an election in a country that is based on democratic principles is being arrogant. It is for voters to decide and it is our duty to provide a choice for them, as best as we can.
As to "nomads", I recall the many visits to different parts of Marine Parade GRC, such as Eunos, Joo Chiat, Kembangan, Chai Chee, Ubi and Braddell. Some residents recall how they were in a different GRC (some even in now-defunct GRCs) or were a SMC previously. I think some even described themselves as nomads, moving constituencies without moving their actual house.
