This is by far one of the best Mediacorp/TCS production so far, it is much better then the current Crap that mediacorp is airing

Of course I wonder maybe due to age and the progression of technology ,most of us lost interests in dramas..

me preferred Kopi-O where every episode has a theme on its own with good values promoted in them too
another of my favorite was 雾锁南洋。the opening song was classic.

anyway collin chee seem be quite loaded, used to owns a restaurant called Wembley in Northpoint, he was also the owner of Sporting Afrique as well.

Yes I remember the drama.. Was a school boy back then..

Uncle Tsang really stood out.. Zhu Houren too..

I remember Tsang was also critical on the acting skills of the local chaps then..

Lately I have been going back home straight after work to catch the re run of the 2004 drama, Double Happiness on Ch 8 at 530 pm..

For me, together with Holland V, Double Happiness was also one the best dramas during the early 2000s..

They don't make this kind of good dramas anymore..

Colin Chee eats slipper rice....old Malaysian socialites mostly.....adopt him as godson.
He is not that rich anyway....f & b was only doing ok and the s league club thingy was with investors and sponsors. S league clubs especially back then were not expensive to start one.....me had a hand in them back then....but that's a story for another day.
He actually quit TV because of Kenneth Tsang said.....not sure what he is doing now but he was on FAS payroll then for awhile

i can't judge acting skills. but the drama scripts really suck nowadays. the stories are so dull and boring. mediacorp drama series are really unwatchable for a long time already.

Now they are also making joint dramas with the Malaysians.. Shooting of scenes done there too.. But the story line and the acting can't make it.. I don't even know who the Malaysian actors are..
