The rising cost of living is squeezing working class singaporeans

I understand, but the income disparity is very significant, which is not the case in Switzerland, possibly due to its different policies.

It has nothing to do with policies. It's about the quality of the gene pool.

That may be true, but the SG govt. could have considered providing some financial assistance to the elderly and financial destitute.

I pack my lunch to work. Sometimes leftover from previous dinner (usually lasagna or shephard's pie), or I bring fruits or a sandwich from home. All my other colleagues go out for lunch. I stopped joining them at first because I wanted to avoid all that salt, sugar and msg from commercial food stalls, and also - parking was a hassle, so I started eating in office, now its routine. I only join my colleagues when we have to go out with suppliers/customers for business lunch.

Cheers!

Teach me leh.

This is a useless thread, people have no time to read this now, we are all mourning for the great loss of our founding father.

Instead of putting yourself through all that sort of shit and sacrifice, it is far easier to simply earn a lot more money so you can enjoy life to the fullest.

For once, I fully agree with Sam on this.
