Even with the best AI algorithms input to make it AUTONOMOUS, it would need HIGH levels of computations as well as CRITICAL power source to perform autonomously, to either attack or defend itself.
With our current state of battery tech, even the best EV cannot last more than 9 hrs on a single full charge, let alone depleting energy as time and functions goes by. How more can such a robot take in a hostile war environment that for sure would last more than months? Let alone also the heat detection by missiles and other forms of detection and immobilization technology?
Sigh,.....Critical Thinking should be taught at Primary School level so that more be not so easily fooled.....

Not for war but definitely for search and rescue operations where repetitive tasks need to be done in an environment with hazards
