Six-Foot-Seven, 110KG Australian Soldier Arrested For War Crimes
By MF Jones April 8, 2026Ben Roberts-Smith, a recipient of the Victoria Cross and Australia’s most decorated living soldier, has been arrested and charged with five counts of war crime-murder related to his service in Afghanistan between 2009 and 2012.
Roberts-Smith, a 6ft 7, 110kg tank of a man, treated unarmed innocent civilians so horrifically that TWENTY-ONE current and former SAS soldiers broke the sacred ‘code of silence’ to come forward and testify against him.
Among his (alleged) war crimes:
- shot an unarmed teenager in the head
- murdered an elderly imam
- threw a guy in handcuffs off a cliff
- machine gunned an unarmed, disabled Afghan man then used his prosthetic leg to drink
- pressured an inexperienced soldier to execute an elderly, unarmed prisoner
Roberts-Smith, 47, has denied all allegations of wrongdoing, and these charges must now be proven beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law. I’m not sure how they can be proven beyond any reasonable doubt, but if 20+ fellow soldiers all say you’re an evil cvnt who should go to prison, then there’s probably some truth to it.
No alleged rapes in there, at least. Although there were allegations that he had committed domestic violence against a woman with whom he was having an affair in 2018, but that’s another story.
On the other side of it, some Aussies are outraged that the Australian government is treating the country’s most decorated veteran in this way. They note that Roberts-Smith was awarded the Victoria Cross after singlehandedly storming two Taliban machine gun positions by himself in order to save his own SAS team.
Extremely bad@ss if true, but at the end of the day, there’s no defending the atrocities he’s said to have committed and nothing else he did in the war can excuse them.
Roberts-Smith remains in custody with his next hearing scheculed for June 4 2026. If found guilty, he faces life imprisonment.
Furthermore, the Australian War Memorial has stated it will review its display of his uniform and medals.
