The Largest Star In The Universe. (We are so small..) Published in Science - Posted By: admin

Here on planet Earth, we're completely oblivious to the grand scale of things in the universe. Much the way we perceive dust particles as being insignifcant, universally speaking we are not much more than this. The scale of things is mind blowing!

So how small are we really? Click to open an awesome image that explains visually how massive some celestial objects really are. The Largest Known Star might take a bit to load since it’s an animated gif.

But be patient because it’s worth the wait.

The last star is called VY Canis Majoris, a hypergiant star located 5,000 light years from earth and is considered to be the largest star discovered in the universe. Assuming the upper size limit of 2100 solar radii, light would take more than 8 hours to travel around the star's circumference

It's awesome, isn't it, considering how we feel the Earth is the only celestial body we can ever at least try to know more about.

bro,

nothing beats the good folks who thinks the entire universe revolves around themselves... or worse, they think they are the universe... :D

wah lau if that biggest star so happens to be our star....we will be fried...:D:D:D

The largest star I ever seen is after an extremely good sex.... the star hovers round and round for a full minute before exploding into a blazing super nova....

Found it hard to believe that we are alone in the solar system - better start increasing our weapon stockpiles in case those aliens coming from nowhere come visiting planet earth.

No way they would come all smiling and signaling Love and Peace.

from the size of these heavenly bodies.. don't be surprised if an alien does arrive and pop Earth into his mouth like a tic-tac :D

Then poop us out and create a new Earth with lots of fert.

Many sinkies think that Sinkiepoor is the centre of the universe and is bigger than all the stars in the milky way.

Earth is the solar system peesai planet.

The reason why aliens haven't visited / attack earth yet are probably because they couldn't be bothered with that shit of a small stone.

I bet right now there are some mega galaxy wars involving gazillions warships fought by the big brothers, some 5,000 light-years away from Earth.
