The labor market in Singapore

the bulk of the costs of running a business is strangely not the labour bill but the rental costs. It is ridiculously expensive to do or run a business in singapore because of the rents being sucked dry by the government through its reits/rental agents.

I would not quite put it that way but property cost is definitely the key component of business cost - not only in rental cost but also in its impact on the expected wages of workers. Workers' cost of living is determined by the big ticket items and what bigger item is there than the money they spend to put a roof over their heads. With a high cost of living, they cannot be looking for a low salary. Any other cost too is dependent on property cost as long as an office, a storage area, a factory etc is involved in the process.

He is a lousy person also

A traitor in WW2

what is Singapore today blame it on LKY.

he is a bad lawyer, a lousy businessman and a cunning politician.

A bad lawyer because he used ISA and control the legal system to suppress his own people.

A lousy businessman as you can see today control most businesses in Singapore under GLC and when cost exploded turned to foreign cheap labours and suppressed local wages.

A cunning politician he sued oppos, gerrymandering in GE and suppressed freedom of speech and control free flow of information.

Recently been speaking to a few I.T vendors and software companies.

First thing these buggers told me was that they were having a hard time getting employees.

I asked Boss A why. Boss A said, "nowadays with the foreign workers quota tightening and levy going up, so hard to find people. Now engineers are asking for $3k-4k per month. How to run a business like this?"

$3k-4k a month for engineer considered expensive? Then maybe his company is just a shitty company.

Whose dare to said hard to employ worker?? If they willing to pay for the right price employee asking for.
They pay peanut of course get monkey.

Funny how this whle labour thing is being used to blame sinkies when actually its the fucking high rentals thats to blame!!!!
