I think it was let down by no star casting and promotional budget. However, I do like the character.

Seriously should have at least a shock ending. Was rooting for the kid to win it, I dun understand this character, obviously he knows jungle survivor (climb tree, apply leaves to the wounds, can escaped the adult), but alamak... Died halfway...

the book is violent, but liongate, canadian money eye, cut until PG 13 in USA to get the kids to see the movie.
If the movie is rated R , it will be must better. But the movie industry not there to make good movie, they are there to make good money.
